What is a cfi?

A CFI is an acronym for Certified Flight Instructor. CFIs are certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to teach and train aspiring pilots on how to fly aircraft. CFIs are required to have significant flying experience, including a commercial pilot's license, and must pass rigorous testing before being certified. CFIs may specialize in teaching specific types of aircraft or flying techniques, such as aerobatics or instrument flying. They may work for flight schools, airlines, or other aviation organizations, and many also work as freelance instructors. CFIs play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and competence of new pilots and are responsible for imparting the knowledge and skills necessary to operate an aircraft safely and efficiently.
